My name is Santosh Tymms

I am from Durham in the North East of England. I have been teaching English as a foreign language for 10 years to a variety of age groups and nationalities. I have a CELTA qualification from International House Newcastle and an MA in linguistics.

I finished a BSc in mathematics from Bath University. After this I decided to teach English as a foreign language, and went to Thailand to teach English to children. I then taught academic English to Thai University students. I continued to teach abroad, teaching adults and children for two years in both Japan and South Korea.

I then took linguistics at Newcastle University, and following that worked at Newcastle College, teaching English to people of many nationalities, with classes ranging from grammar to British life and culture to academic IELTS preparation.
